University Scholars Initiative (USI), was made to financially support independent ambitious University Freshmen and Sophomore students in Michigan. Educate students about the benefits of higher education, provide scholarships for tuition and book supplies, also promoting positive student participation. Lastly, motivating other students to pursue their University dreams.

In Michigan there is a surplus of students that don't receive enough financial aid to pay for University College, although their EFC (Expected Family Income) is higher than the intended amount received. Told by our FAFSA forms, we’re expected to receive some type of financial contribution from our Parents/ Guardians but realistically, some students barely receive that said amount! To solve this, we decided to create USI (University Scholars Initiative).

MISSION STATEMENT

USI’s Mission is to increase the amount of student success and enrollment in Michigan College(s)/Universities.

WALK FOR SUCCESS, DON'T RUN

Our goal at University Scholars Initiative is to sponsor at least one Michigan student per year by providing students with scholarships from impactful events and collaborators. Fundraising at least $3,000.00 for each student to help students focus on educational endeavors.
